Jeff Whiting

Community Lay Director/ Music

I took my original walk on FSE #34, where I sat at the table of Paul, and I worship & serve at Covenant United Methodist in Port Orange. Since then, my involvement with the community has grown, helping out behind the scenes on walks, and then serving as an assistant table leader for walk 44, and table leader on walk 46. I’m married to Patricia, and we have four adult children that are all out on their own.

I play bass guitar on the praise team at church, and I’ve been playing music in bands for more than 30 years. I recently started playing the guitar. I build websites and do graphic design in my professional life, and I also write and draw my own comic books.

I’m excited to have the opportunity to use my spiritual gifts to serve on the board and contribute to the community that has been so inspirational and meaningful in my walk with Christ.

Reunion Groups

I was born and raised in suburban Philadelphia. Since arriving in Florida, my faith journey has been a priority. I attended the Florida Sonrise Walk to Emmaus #33 in November 2009. I worship and serve at Palm Coast United Methodist Church. After my Walk, I’ve served in various capacities behind the scenes, and in the conference room during the Walks. I also served behind the scenes as a proof reader of the newsletter. These experiences have provided the much-needed experience to serve on the Emmaus Board. It would be an honor and privi-
lege to serve Our Lord and Savior on the FSE Board.

My name is Bruce Foster. My walk was in April 2001 at Aldersgate Emmaus Walk #88 in Leesburg, FL. I worship and serve at Covenant United Methodist Church in Port Orange, where my wife is the Sr. Pastor. I have served on 4 teams: 3 with Aldersgate, and this year on Florida Sonrise Emmaus Walk #48. I want to serve on the Board because I think Emmaus provides a wonderful experience and serves a good purpose. It allows one to go deeper in their faith and helps to grow leaders within each church. The food is also really good at the Walks and the Gatherings!!!
